How do we find out how much you charge?

Give us a call on 07966 182 344, or send us a message with some basic details, and we will let you know if we're available and provide you with a quote (which will be inclusive of our set up, performance, sound engineer and any travel expenses). The location of your event will have a bearing on the price as we cover expenses and travel time in our fee.

How do we book?

Peak times for function bands are Fridays and Saturdays between May and September. Ideally book directly with the band, as an agency is likely to charge an extra 5% to 10%. As with all professional bands, we will require a deposit when booking, usually 20% of the agreed fee.

What do your fees cover?

We pride ourselves on being more than a covers band. Our performance features original arrangements and aims to get everybody on their feet. Our standard booking is two 1-hour sets tailored to suit your wedding. Our singers and horn section use wireless microphones, which means they can join the action on the dancefloor and get your guests involved in the entertainment.

As well as a polished performance, fees also cover transport and fuel, a professional sound engineer, PA system, instruments, lighting rig for stage and dancefloor, equipment insurance and safety testing, public liability insurance, administration, advertising and website costs.

Can you tailor your performance for my event?

Absolutely. We can select specific musical styles to suit a theme. We also know that the musical tastes of your guests may not match your own, so we tend to include a range of crowd-pleasers in our sets.

Can you perform our first dance or favourite song?

Give us a couple of months' notice and we are happy to add a requested song to our repertoire, which could include the first dance at your wedding reception.

How should we fit the band into the timings of our day?

We expect every reception to be unique and so we support you throughout the planning process right up to your big day. We’re always prepared for last minute timing adjustments should things change.

Don't worry that the band equipment must be set up before your guests arrive. In most venues, we can make use of the time after the wedding breakfast (when guests will want to freshen up and get a drink) to set up quickly with no disruption.

We can play as early or late as you like, and our DJ will fill in for the rest of the evening.

How professional is Disco Inferno?

We've played at hundreds of venues including hotels, private parties and open-air festivals, so we're well versed in all the things that should (and shouldn't) happen. We respond to emails and phone calls promptly and courteously and we issue a written contract for the utmost clarity on what both parties agree to. Our 12 years of experience mean we're accustomed to working together on stage, unlike similar bands who are manufactured for each event by a manager.

Do you have any limitations for where you'll perform?

We aim to accommodate all of your needs, but there are a few simple limitations. We require an under-cover venue or marquee, a covered floor and power. Also, check whether your chosen venue has a sound level limiter installed, as this can sometimes affect what kind of entertainment you can have.

We perform locally to Cambridge (Ely, Colchester, Kings Lynn, Newmarket, Norwich, Peterborough, Milton Keynes, Northampton, Bury St Edmunds, Huntingdon, Ipswich) and further afield (London, Harlow, Chelmsford, Basildon, Luton, Leicester).

What do we need to provide?

There is no outrageous list of requirements. When you book us, our focus is on giving you a top performance. We can liaise with your venue and other suppliers if necessary, so that everything is seamless and you have one less thing to worry about. During the half a day the band spend with you, the members will require refreshments and somewhere private to change and leave their belongings.
